Gerina-Piller
Her birthplace was Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michel Mendoza was her birthname. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico and was the child of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is Mexican family roots but is American with a US national. From the time she was a kid, she has had a strong determination to be involved in sporting activities. Gerina first started golfing at the age of 15. Gerina completed her high school education during her time at Goddard High School. At the age of 16, she was a winner in the state championship golf tournament in New Mexico. Apart from volleyball, she competed on the state level. She joined the University of Texas, Texas in 2003. As a senior, she won every tournament she competed in. In her undergraduate time, she was awarded Conference USA's individual player of year, as well as UTEP's Female Athletic of Year.
