Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiThe name refers to the Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Gheorghi Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic celebration. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, met Comaneci in the age of 6 years old. In 1969, she took part at the Romanian Junior Olympics which she finished 13th. She took home the trophy in 1970. In 1972, during the communist nations' meet for juniors in the lead-up to the Olympics she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and '74 she was the all-around junior champ. At her first competition with a senior team in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars with an inverse salto that doubled backward. Her journey in the entertainment business began in her teens when she began dancing as a figure skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business during her teenage years. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured ice-skating and other shows, which were also accompanied with theatrical music.
