Katherine Heigl reveals her childhood in a bubble of white and how this realization affected the way she raised adopted, multiracial children. In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl admitted that she didn't care about her skin tone, until she met her adopted sister who was from South Korea. "I I asked my sister Meg to tell me if she'd received the same treatment while walking around with our parents and in a different manner when she went out on her own without anyone else. Meg replied "Oh Yes! All the times!" Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I resulted in me feeling." She said that she was angry however she was also aware of that she had to channel this anger to help her daughters. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son with her 13-year husband, Josh Kelley. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. and then Adalaide aged 8 who is now old and is Black in 2012.
